Garlic is a super food that detoxes your body reduces high blood pressure, is an excellent immunity booster, controls cholesterol level and helps prevent develop cancerous cells in our body.
For pickling, we procure Pahadi Lehsan (garlic) from higher altitude Himalayan villages of Uttarakhand. Our homemade garlic pickle (Ghar ka bana lehsan ka achar) is prepared with original spices, pure Desi mustard oil and jamun Sirka (Black berry vinegar).
For reducing moisture content peeled garlic is sun dried. After mixing spices, rock salt and mustard oil it is kept in the Sun again to get the pickle matured. Finally Jamun Sirka is added. Spices, Jamun Sirka and pure mustard oil only add to the health benefits of garlic.
In this version of homemade garlic pickle we kept garlic cloves intact in their whole form.
